Episode 4
A year passed, all that time we didn’t see that woman who took Jane and Joyce. She promised to come back to us but her speaking wasn’t true. There were rumors that Jane and Joyce were used as sex maids in bawdy-house in town. We tried as much as we could to look for them but we failed, there were no way to get them, hence we gave up and wait weather there would be a day they could return.
Back to our side, life was much tough, I and my brother were both in hard situation. We had no food to eat, no money to run our life and no people who could help us.
As life went much tough, my brother came with an idea, he wanted us to sell the house that we were used to stay in. He promised that, the money we would get there, we might open the business even small one that can help us to run the life. I agreed with him though I was much worrying. “What if things go wrong?” I asked my brother but he assured that nothing to wrong. He said he had arranged and calculated all the requirement, hence all thing might go as planned.
We found the customer who promised to pay too sooner and negotiated about the business. Things went as how he wanted, we had to follow he words because we trusted at him and we wanted not to lose him. After two weeks he needed all the house documents and we had to sign that the business was done. He spoiled us to sign the documents before handed our cash.
“No worries, cash on process now, the bank system is too down these two days, but so sooner you will have your money” he said.
We had to trust him and have his words in head. We then accepted to wait.
Two weeks later we received a letter from municipal, we were given two days to leave the house as a new teacher is coming. The letter said, municipal bought the house from the person named Mwamedi Said. The name was new to us, it was total different to that of our customer.
We tried to solve the case out but it was too late, the municipal didn’t even wanted to know who we were. We then kicked out the house with nothing, empty handed. It pained us a lot.
